Educational Fund of Fundación México
BACKGROUND
The 16 th of June, 2007 Funadcion Mexico and the Arizona Border Rights Foundation signed an agreement for the purpose of creating the Educational Fund Fundacion Mexico (FM Fund). It is the interest of both organizations to grant mexican migrants the protection of human rights ans, and education being a fundamental rights, the FM Fund is designated to grant scholarships to students to descendants of migrants who live in Arizona. These scholarships are provided to contribute to underatking studies in universities in the state as well as those that offer degrees through the internet.
Fifty percent of the contributions that are received will go directly to granting student schoalrships, and the balance will be deposited in a endowment fund that will apply the interest generated to the scholarship fund.
It is important to note that the beginning of this effort is administered by volunteers. We invite you to contribute. In exchange for your contribution you will receive a receipt from the Arizona Border Rights Foundation (ABRF) a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a tax deduction.
According to the agreement that has been signed, th ARBF is the agent fiscally responsible for the administration of the funds.
